For shooters already familiar with the performance of White Gold lead cartridges, White Gold Pro Steel offers a natural progression into steel shot competition shooting. Developed to mirror the balanced handling, smooth recoil and confidence-inspiring performance of the original White Gold lead load, it allows shooters to transition to steel without needing to adapt to a completely different cartridge behaviour or shooting experience.

At the heart of White Gold Pro Steel is the Gamebore Wad System. A wad technology engineered specifically for steel competition shooting. Unlike conventional steel wads which use simple cut petals, the Gamebore Wad System features injection-moulded 45-degree, overlapping petals designed to keep the steel shot fully enclosed throughout its journey down the barrel, helping protect against pellet contact with the bore and reducing the risk of barrel scoring. Integral ribbing on the wad cup creates additional separation between the shot and barrel wall.

A 100% environmentally friendly, biodegradable wad system developed for shooting grounds where plastic wads are not permitted. Designed to biodegrade naturally out in the open in a similar timeframe to a traditional fibre wad, the Bio-Wad offers a more environmentally responsible solution while causing less long-term harm to the countryside and shooting environment.

Crucially, the move to a biodegradable wad does not mean compromising performance. Incorporating the same barrel-protecting principles as the plastic Gamebore Wad System, the Bio-Wad fully encloses the steel shot charge throughout its journey down the barrel, helping protect against pellet contact with the bore. STANDARD STEEL: Suitable for all guns bearing Nitro Proof marks from 1954 and onwards. 

Standard Steel ammunition can be used in any shotgun (with the exception of those with Damascus/twist barrells) in good order bearing London or Birmingham proof symbols from 1954 onwards. For pre-1954 shotguns guidance will be needed from the British Proof Authority. The shotgun must be chambered for the case length of the ammunition as a minimum. Longer chamber lengths can be used with shorter ammunition.
